Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Vessil collects when you use tryvessil.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what control you have over it.

We sell a small number of products to a small number of people. We collect what we need to take your order, deliver it, and tell you when it ships. We do not sell your personal information.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details — name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number.
  • Order details — what you bought, what you paid, and any notes you send us.
  • Payment details — card and payment information is collected and processed by our payment providers. It passes through their systems, not ours, and we never see or store your full card number.
  • Account details — if you create an account, your login credentials and saved preferences.
  • Marketing preferences — your email address if you subscribe, and any preferences you tell us, such as whether you are interested in our energy or sleep formula.
  • Correspondence — anything you send us by email or through our contact form.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and connection data — IP address, browser type, device type, operating system.
  • Usage data — pages viewed, products viewed, items added to cart, and how you arrived at our site.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — used to keep your cart working, remember you between visits, and measure how the site performs.

How we use it

  • To take payment, fulfil your order and deliver it to you
  • To send order confirmations, dispatch notices and delivery updates
  • To answer your questions and provide support
  • To send marketing email, where you have asked us to
  • To detect and prevent fraud and abuse
  • To understand how the site is used so we can improve it
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the providers we need to run the store, and only to the extent they need it:

  • Shopify — hosts our store and processes orders on our behalf.
  • Payment providers — including Shopify Payments, Shop Pay and PayPal, to take payment and prevent fraud.
  • Klaviyo — our email marketing provider, which stores your email address and marketing preferences if you subscribe.
  • Shipping carriers — to deliver your parcel and provide tracking.
  • Apps installed on our store — including our pre-order and subscription tools, which need order data to work.
  • Analytics providers — to measure site performance in aggregate.
  • Professional advisers and authorities — where we are legally required to disclose information, or need to establish or defend legal claims.

If our business is ever sold or reorganised, customer information may transfer as part of that transaction. We would tell you before it happened.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and our providers may process your information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal information out of the UK or European Economic Area, we rely on recognised safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Order and transaction records are kept for as long as we need them for tax, accounting and legal purposes. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Everything else is kept only as long as it is useful for the purpose it was collected for.

Security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, and we rely on Shopify’s infrastructure for hosting and payment security. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that information sent to us over the internet is safe in transit. Please do not send us sensitive information such as card numbers by email.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy
  • Ask us to correct information that is wrong
  • Ask us to delete your information
  • Ask us to transfer your information to another provider
  • Object to or restrict how we use your information
  • Withdraw consent where we rely on it
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising

To exercise any of these, email info@tryvessil.com. We may need to verify your identity first. We will not treat you differently for asking.

Marketing email

Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately. You can also email us to be removed. If you unsubscribe we may still send you transactional messages about orders you have placed, such as dispatch and delivery notices.

Cookies

Some cookies are necessary for the store to function — your cart will not work without them. Others help us measure traffic and performance. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site may stop working correctly if you do.

Children

Our products and our store are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The current version is always on this page.
