Chapter one · The problem
Thirty capsules for
something you'd take once.
The shelf was full of tubs with fourteen actives at doses too low to do anything, hidden behind the words ‘proprietary blend’. Compliance was the real problem.
We decided the format had to be something you look forward to twice a day, and the label had to survive being read closely.
Chapter two · The vessel
Honey was carrying medicine
before capsules existed.
Capsules are a 19th-century invention. Honey has been the carrier for herbal formulas since the Ebers Papyrus, around 1550 BC. Ayurveda calls it yogavahi, the one that carries the formula. Egypt, Greece and China each worked it out on their own.
VESSIL uses the same carrier. Raw wildflower honey, set into a gummy, with the formula inside it. Nothing else to swallow.
